D is for Development

canstock8492655We’re talking about our plot and character development. We may be a little unusual, we went through a stage of trying to organise things into grown up writery spreadsheets and things, but it seemed to stifle us and slow down our creative process. So we continue to allow things to develop organically.

It may not be very grown up, but we’ve found that trying to pre-plot too tightly and force our ideas into moulds tends to stunt them. Plus as you know – if you’ve been following us for a while – that we’re actually two writers. My (Loz’s) mind is a lot messier than Jed’s, which I’m sure drives her to distraction at times, but between us we seem to get everything done eventually.
